The perceived anonymity of the Internet has loosened the inhibitions of people. They make statements online that they would never make in “Real Life”. The kinds of things that were only said on a drunken spree in the past are now spouted with abandon.

This has a lot to say about the decline in “common sense” Ireally don’t think people have any -
any more. It used to be one of the lessons your parents taught you. Don’t say something you don’t mean – you can’t take it back!!!! Now the President of the United States has to send this messaage to people of all ages!! I’ve seen this coming for a quite a while now – possibly one of the reasons is people just don’t care – not about other people and “if you don’t like what I do or say — too bad!!” attitude. If adults haven’t learned common sense you can’t expect the children to know – do you.
A very wise older woman told me as a child “if you have a friend – keep him so – let him not your
secrets know – for if your friend becomes your foe the whole world your secrets will know”
Obviously it impressed me
