My boss has a tendancy to do this however, she has told me that if she starts changing the wording too much to let her know. She said "this might sound good to me today and next month it will not". I try to preface with "I drafted this letter from one you previously approved for someone, the only thing that has changed is the employee's name and contact information." Or something to that effect.
