I work for a company that just announced that, for the second year, we will not be getting raises. While that in itself is difficult to swallow, there are several employees (myself included) that have also been told that there is no room for continued growth. Worse yet, some of these folks have actually had responsibilities and projects taken away from them not for their inability to handle them but because our new CEO and CFO wanted the control themselves. None of these changes were discussed with the employees, they were completely blind-sided by the decision. Needless to say, I recently did a search and found many of our employees' resumes posted on a local job board.
