Welcome to HR Morning

Welcome!

When we decided to launch HR Morning, the first question we had to ask ourselves was: “Does the world really need another Web site covering the field of human resources management?”

Our answer was: “Probably not, but this isn’t going to be just another Web site covering the field of human resources.”

“Unique” is an overused word these days, so let’s just say that HR Morning certainly will offer something different than everyone else – and, we like to think, better.

Yes, we’ll cover the need-to-know news about HR. That’s a must, and a given. More than that, though, we’ll offer one-of-kind HR features such as:

My best HR management idea” – in which HR managers tell us about a problem they faced and how they solved it. We think you’ll see, in those stories, some solutions that you can apply in your own workplace.

Who won this case?” – where we lay out the facts of an actual HR-related lawsuit and, for fun, give you a chance to decide who won before we reveal the outcome. And you also might learn how to avoid some of the problems that led to the lawsuit.

Our favorite Web sites” – realizing that even we can’t cover it all, we offer reviews of some of the valuable HR-related Web sites that are worth a visit.

What HR managers told us” – you’ll get the results of our exclusive opinion surveys of HR managers on topics like health care and hiring. It’s a great way to spot the trends in HR and see what your colleagues are thinking and doing.

Answers to tricky HR questions” – or you might refer to it as “free consulting,” where attorneys and other experts in the field answer questions posed by HR executives.

And more, including fresh features every day. So stick around and have a look, and please come back again. If there’s something you have a question about or you’d like to make a suggestion, let us know at hrmorning@pbp.com.
