You know how popular workplace flexibility has become as a perk and morale building tool. Now the Department of Labor wants you to know how it works and what your options are for flex-time.
The federal agency recently announced the launch of its “Workplace Flexibility Toolkit,” a collection of case studies, issue briefs, articles, fact sheets, reports, frequently asked questions about how firms can provide and employees can take advantage of workplace flexibility policies. In addition to workers and companies, the site also targets policymakers and researchers.
The toolkit is funded by the DOL’s Office of Disability Employment Policy in partnership with the department’s Women’s Bureau. There are currently links to 172 resources on the toolkit, and information will be updated as necessary.
The toolkit launch coincides with National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an “an annual observance to raise awareness about disability employment issues as well as to celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.”
