Do your employees need time off to “find the wellspring of love”?
That’s what one lawmaker in Finland’s parliament thinks. He’s proposed a bill that would guarantee workers seven days of “love vacation” a year.
In his words, the leave would give couples time to “find their way back to the path of love” and “find the wellspring of love again.”
He says the law would solve several problems, such as Finland’s rising divorce rate and declining population.
No word on whether the bill has a chance to pass, but here’s our take: Employees, use your PTO however you want. Your journey on the path of love is none of our business.
