Frequenting this establishment could drive your wellness program coordinator to anger management classes.
The name says just about everything you need to know about this burger joint — Heart Attack Grill.
And yes, it’s exactly what you’re thinking — an ultra-greasy eatery with a grotesquely fatty menu.
The hospital-themed restaurant has locations in Dallas and Chandler, AZ, where 350-pound customers (or “patients”) eat for free, while being served by scantily-clad “nurse” waitresses.
The decor? Defibrillators, dialysis machines and other medical equipment.
Finish its famous Quadruple Bypass Burger, and you get rolled out of the restaurant in a wheelchair.
The rest of the menu is a list of horrors to health nuts. In addition to its Single, Double, Triple and Quadruple Bypass Burgers, “patients” can enjoy a heaping helping of Flatliner Frys — cooked in pure lard!
To wash it all down, Heart Attack offers Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, Butterfat Milkshakes, and “full-sugar” Coca-Cola.
And of course, no meal would be complete without some Lucky Strike no-filter smokes.
Fighting off copycats
Who in their right mind would eat at a place like this you ask? Probably nobody … who’s in their right mind, that is. But the concept has its fans — and copycats.
In fact, Heart Attack recently won lawsuits against Heart Stoppers Sports Grill in Delray Beach, FL, and Flatline Grill in Pensacola, FL — both of which were found to have copied Heart Attacks’ medical theme.
