What’s healthcare reform really going to look like in the coming years?
As you know, a measure to repeal the law has passed the House of Representatives.
And even though its chances of passing the Senate are dubious at best, the new Republican majority in the House isn’t likely to stop throwing roadblocks in the path of the law’s implementation.
Meanwhile, court challenges over the constitutionality of the law continue to rage at the state level, with courts deciding on both sides of the issue. A Supreme Court appeal seems likely.
So where’s it all headed? That’ll be the question addressed at several sessions of the upcoming Labor & Employment Advanced Practices (LEAP) Symposium at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas March 30-April 1.
Topics covered will include:
- an “Eye on Employment Law” session which will examine the various court challenges to the healthcare law
- a “Washington Watch” session covering whether any or all of the law will be repealed, and
- an interactive breakfast roundtable where a top HR attorney will brief attendees on the latest benefits- and healthcare-related news.
