Think you're funny? Here's your chance to write Dilbert
They say truth is stranger than fiction. So, maybe your true HR stories will prove stranger than the most popular office-based comic strip.
How would you like to be the voice of a sadistic HR comic strip character who happens to be a cat?
You know, of course, we’re talking about Catbert, the evil HR director in the comic strip Dilbert.
For that matter, it’s now possible for you to write dialog and fill thought balloons for any character in the strip: The pointy-haired boss, Wally the slacker, Asok the intern, Alice the engineer with violent tendencies or even Dilbert himself.
Dilbert creator Scott Adams has augmented his Web site so that readers can write alternate punchlines for real Dilbert strips.
Who better to write outlandish, office-based comic strip dialog than HR directors who have the experienced real thing.
And soon, you’ll be able to rewrite all three panels instead of just the last one.
Just go to the Dilbert Web site and click on the mashup section.
Not feeling too creative today? Then you can vote for your favorite punch lines written by others.
Another alternative: HR Blunders will provide some ready-made punchlines:
“Good grief!”
“Now that’s gotta hurt.”
“I’ll have what she’s having.”
“First Base!”
“Made you say, ‘underwear.'”
“To get to the other side.”
If you post a Dilbert mashup, let HR Blunders know. We promise to vote for your entry.
