Destigmatizing and Treating Addiction in the Workplace

Evidence-based solutions to support struggling colleagues

2020 took its toll on everyone’s mental health.

And for those suffering from substance use disorder (or those with a loved one who struggles), the past year has been even harder.

It’s difficult to address and support individuals who are impacted by addiction. It’s even more difficult when those individuals are your colleagues.

Between keeping your conversations legally compliant, managing lost productivity, and budgeting the medical spend, working with an employee who suffers from addiction or someone with a close family member who is impacted by addiction is something nobody wants to go through.

But unfortunately, most HR professionals will experience it at some point in their career.

In this webinar, Dr. Sherwani will discuss the science of habit formation as well as today’s leading addiction care solutions. From Medication-Assisted Therapy (MAT) to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), HR Morning readers will leave this webinar with proven strategies to help them combat addiction in their organization.

We’ll discuss the vital things employers need to understand about addiction, including:

  • Why we need to destigmatize addiction – and how to do it
  • How to support an employee who suffers from addiction
  • The significant costs – both financially and personally – that addiction has in a workplace
  • The importance of individually tailored treatment
  • And more
