The problem, of course, is that salary and bonus increase budgets have gone dry — so employers can’t motivate with money. The good news:
Workers revealed in a recent study what else their employers can provide that’ll get them working harder.
Here’s what employees said will improve their productivity.
- Work/life balance programs (82%)
- Access to more health and wellness programs (81%), and
- Financial advice and guidance programs (77%).
Thanks to the economy, employers have a renewed focus to ramp up employee productivity — 84% now say it’s a critical business objective (up from 79% in 2008), according to MetLife’s 8th Annual Study of Employee Benefits Trends.
