What are working fathers concerned about when they’re weighing job offers?
The same things working mothers worry about, according to a recent survey by Lake Research Partners.
Most of them struggle to balance work and family responsibilities — maybe even more so than women: 72% of the fathers polled said they worry about work-family balance on a daily basis, compared to 67% of mothers.
What it means for HR: The importance of stressing family-friendly benefits (such as flex-time and childcare assistance) during the hiring process doesn’t just apply with female candidates.
Those factors appeal to all parents and could help sway their career decisions.
