The HR manager and two other HR reps face criminal charges over the incident.
Agriprocessors, a Pottsville, IA-based meat processing plant, was charged with intentionally hiring illegal immigrants, as well as committing child labor violations.
Allegedly, the HR employees helped the undocumented workers fill out phony paperwork, despite knowing they weren’t authorized to work.
They face misdemeanor charges that could result in up to 30 days in jail and a $625 fine for each charge.
