Out of all the possible uses for application forms, no one thought of this one: Catching a criminal.
Heads up, HR Managers! Keep a supply of job application forms on hand. You never know when they might come in handy, even for something unexpected.
Police in Athens, GA, got a major clue in a convenience store robbery from a job application.
Investigators say Demetrius Robinson filled out the application to kill time while waiting for patrons to leave the Golden Pantry store.
Once they left, he allegedly took out a knife and held up the store, according to wire service reports.
What was on the application? It was a fake address, but it had Robinson’s real name and his uncle’s phone number.
It didn’t take police too long to catch him.
So, does this mean he won’t get an interview for the job?
