As an HR pro, you know that when employees lose interest in their jobs, they’re less likely to be productive. This story is an extreme case of that.
Postal carrier Adam Stuart of Llandudno, Wales, has admitted tossing thousands of pieces of mail in the woods because he “had lost interest in his job.”
Stuart has pled guilty to two counts of delaying mail and stealing 67 postal packets.
Police say he also opened some letters to steal club card vouchers for a grocery store chain and other items, according to the Daily Mail.
Stuart’s attorney has asked for sentencing to be delayed until reports could be submitted concerning his client’s being diagnosed with dyspraxia, which may have affected his thinking skills.
We hope this isn’t a trend. A few weeks ago HRB told you about a postal worker in Germany who stored more than 20,000 pieces of mail in his home.
