Memo to supervisors worried that underlings might be scheming to replace them: A new survey says almost nobody who works for you wants your job.
More than three quarters (76%) of participants in a recent OfficeTeam poll said they had no interest in their manager’s job.
On a brighter note, 65% of respondents said they didn’t think they could do a better job than their current boss.
Here’s how the numbers shook out.
Workers were asked, “Would you like to have your manager’s job?” Their responses:

- Yes — 21%, and
- Don’t know — 3%.
Quick aside: Workers between the ages of 18 and 34 were the most likely to covet a promotion — 35% said they’d like to have their manager’s job.
