Getting signals from upstairs that you’ll soon be kicking recruiting into gear? A new report from the Business Roundtable says CEOs think things are looking up.
The group’s fourth quarter CEO Outlook Survey says 45% of the CEOs surveyed see their organizations adding staff over the next six months. That’s a serious jump from the third quarter of this year, when only 31% thought they’d be in hiring mode.
Another 38% said they foresaw staffing numbers remaining level, while 18% expected to decrease their workforces.
Anticipated sales increases sparked the new optimism, according to a Roundtable spokesman. The group is made up of chief executive officers of companies across the U.S.
