The hiring picture’s still pretty bleak for many companies — except for those in three industries, new research says.
According to a recent Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) poll, workers are being coveted in:
- health care (84% of companies are hiring)
- the federal government agencies (76%), and
- high tech industries (75%).
Industries where there’s a serious decline in worker demand, according to SHRM: state and local governments, and construction.
