Companies hold training to make sure employees follow directions. Turns out, it’s equally important that directions are followed during the training.
Customs agents were conducting a test for drug-sniffing dogs at a Tokyo, Japan airport.
They hid 142 grams of marijuana in a side pocket of a randomly chosen suitcase.
The dogs couldn’t find it. And after the test, neither could the agents. The one who hid it forgot which suitcase he put it in.
Officials have asked anyone finding the package to contact customs. Japan has strict drug laws, and carrying that amount could lead to a sizable jail sentence.
It turns out the rules for testing the dogs said that a planted piece of luggage should be used, not a real passenger’s.
The head of Narita Airport’s customs apologized for the incident, saying the dogs were able to find the pot in all previous tests.
