Not too long ago we told you the story of Louisa Tuck, a part-time cafeteria and playground aide at an elementary school in Vineland, NJ. Her previous career caused controversy for the school district.
Tuck worked in the adult film industry under the name Crystal Gunns.
When parents and school officials found out, the school board president wanted to fire her.
But lawyers told the district there was no legal reason to end her employment at the school.
Now, Tuck has resigned from her job.
She issued a one-sentence letter of resignation to the school district, stating that she was “resigning in good standing.” The letter didn’t list a reason why she decided to leave the job.
The school superintendent said the district didn’t demand her resignation.
Tuck also works as a supervisor for children’s programs at the Vineland YMCA. The Y’s executive director told the Courier Post she is still employed there.
Tuck’s resignation isn’t official until the school board gets to vote on it at its next scheduled meeting Jan. 21. Tuck could change her mind and rescind the resignation up to that date.
