This E-Verify thing seems to be catching on.
Over 50% of employers indicated they use E-Verify now, according to a recent report from international employment screening provider HireRight.
That percentage is up significantly from the 28% who reported using it in the same report in 2010.
Other findings in the 2011 report include:
- 11% of those surveyed reported that although they are not currently using E-Verify, they plan to use it in the future.
- 60% of respondents store Form I-9s exclusively in paper form, 12% digitally store, and 27% use a combination of both.
- 69% of respondents reported feeling completely or very prepared for a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Notice of Inspection or audit.
