One of the most common lies used by job applicants: listing a degree from a non-existent educational institution. Here’s some help identifying those phony degrees.
So-called “diploma mills” are a big business these days. Job seekers can go online and purchase a degree — without having to spend any time going to class or taking tests.
Most of the “schools” claim to be accredited, but the organizations that give the accreditations are typically bogus, too.

The document also contains a list of both approved and un-approved accrediting organizations, which can help with identifying new diploma mills that aren’t on the list.
