5 AI tools to help make HR’s job easier

Nearly 81% of HR leaders have explored or implemented Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions within their organizations, according to a recent survey from Gartner.
But if you’re not AI-savvy, you may wonder what AI tools are available – and how they can help you.
Here are some popular AI tools for HR pros – and how they work – to help you make the best decisions for your business.
AI tools for your workforce
Whether you specialize in recruiting, benefits, onboarding or any other flavor of HR, there are a variety of AI tools at your fingertips to help you make work easier and more efficient. Here are a few of the most notable tools for different areas of HR.
Note: Whatever type of AI tools you use, it’s always a good idea to follow best practices when it comes to concerns like bias and data security.
Recruiter 2024
What it is: Recruiter 2024 is an expansion of LinkedIn’s recruiter tools, aimed at helping hiring pros find the best-fit candidates as easily and as quickly as possible. Recruiters can simply tell the AI tool their hiring goals – in natural, conversational language – and the AI will “automatically find interested and qualified candidates, drawing on billions of data points from the world’s largest professional network,” the company says.
How it works: Recruiter 2024 utilizes generative AI and insights from the platform itself to sort through candidates that match what the recruiter is asking for. It might also ask clarifying questions. Plus, the tool can even give you real-time, personalized “nudges” to expand or modify a search based on candidate information.
Effy
What it is: Effy is an AI-powered performance software management tool. It takes the headache out of performance reviews by using employee data from surveys to give HR pros valuable insights on performance. It can be used for more than just formal performance reviews, though: It can also help generate performance insights for role changes or promotions, project milestones and new employee probation periods.
How it works: Managers and leaders can set up reviews using some of the pre-made templates and an expansive question bank. The software relies on AI to analyze responses from review participants and generates a comprehensive report for managers, as well as an AI-powered summary.
HR Signal
What it is: HR Signal is a SaaS platform that is intended to improve retention, development, planning and more. Its Proactive Employee Retention solution uses AI to help predict how likely employees are to find a new position within the next 90 days and provides a workflow to help keep high-risk employees.
How it works: The AI tool uses a Retention Risk score to rank employees based on how likely they are to leave, based on factors like peer data, public data and market data. If the score becomes high enough, the AI will automatically create a case for the high-risk employee and helps users assess risk, create an action plan and document steps.
Paradox
What it is: Paradox is an automated Applicant Tracking System designed to make the recruiting process more efficient. It can help with all parts of the recruiting process, from candidate sourcing to automated screening to offer management.
How it works: The software relies on a mobile-first conversational AI assistant – called Olivia – to free up some of the most tedious parts of recruiting like screening and scheduling.
Textio
What it is: Textio is an AI tool designed to help you hire and retain a diverse candidate pool. It can optimize job posts to ensure inclusive language is being used and employer branding stays consistent – as well as speed up the job posting process.
How it works: The software will give your job posts a score based on how diverse the talent pipeline will be, as well as suggestions to make it more inclusive. The software can also show you exactly how job posts appeal to different groups by pulling out gendered phrases, age bias and more.
