Beginning at the start of 2024, certain employers in specified industries will need to electronically submit injury and illness information to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Under the new rule, establishments with at least 100 employees in the designated “high hazard” industries must electronically submit information from their Form 300-Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, and Form 301-Injury and Illness Incident Report to OSHA once a year.
The new rule will also require establishments to include their legal company name when making electronic submissions to OSHA from their injury and illness records.
Once received, OSHA will provide the public with access to some of the information.
Among the covered industries are the following:
- Logging

- Water, sewage and other Systems
- Foundation, structure, and building exterior contractors
- Dairy product manufacturing
- Animal slaughtering and processing
