Does your company encourage employees to enter competitions to benchmark themselves against others in their fields? Here’s the latest group of employees to compete internationally against each other: pole dancers.
Dozens of women from across Europe travelled to Amsterdam to compete for the European pole dance championship title.
And believe it or not, the women seemed to want to play down the sexy nature of the “sport.”
Rather than wearing skimpy outfits, most contestants wore sportswear similar to Olympic gymnasts.
It’s a good thing for these competitors that pole dancing recently has left the dark confines of strip clubs and come into the light of gyms as a fun type of exercise for women. After all, now they have more places in which to practice.
Classes show women how to pole dance safely without pulling muscles or falling from the top of the pole.
That leads HRB to envision OSHA inspectors visiting strip clubs. Will pole dancers be required to have fall protection gear?
Is competition good for employees?
