Taking Action:
Purposeful Steps in Building an Inclusive Workplace
Protect and Support All Employees
Nearly 6% of the U.S. population identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, and yet 40% of LGBTQ+ workers hide their identity at work.
Employers lean on corporate policies, values, and employee resource groups to help support LGBTQ+ employees, but there is a clear disconnect.
In preparation for National Coming Out Day on October 11, this panel will discuss concrete steps employers can take to demonstrate support for their LGBTQ+ employees, whether they’re “out” or not, and build a truly inclusive workplace.
Join us on October 7th to learn:
- Recent survey results from LGBTQ+ employees at the country’s largest employers
- Challenges LGBTQ+ employees are facing when accessing healthcare and other resources
- Factors to consider for return to work planning that helps support all employees
- Specific actions employers can take to build a more inclusive workplace
