Members of the military can’t be expected to wear their uniforms all the time. But when they’re out of uniform, it’d be a good idea if they wore other clothes if they want to keep their jobs.
A male Japanese air force major was caught naked while shopping for women’s underwear. He’s been suspended for ten days, according to wire service reports.
The major was on his way home from a late-night farewell party for a colleague. He stripped off his clothes behind a store before going in and buying panties and pantyhose.
An air base spokesman said the only thing he was wearing was his shoes. He had to carry his wallet to pay for his purchases.
The store clerk called police shortly after the man left.
This isn’t the only scandal Japan’s military has dealt with recently. The air force’s top general was fired last week for saying Japan wasn’t an aggressor in World War Two.
