Federal, state and local jurisdictions continue to enact laws that reshape the compliance landscape.

Take the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), for example. This recent legislation expands the previous definition of “family member” and allows employees to take leave to care for grandparents, grandchildren, siblings and domestic partners. Additionally, more states and municipalities are easing restrictions for workers with a criminal history when applying for a job.
